Four-Point + Wind Mitigation Inspection

Quick answer
What is a four-point plus wind mitigation inspection?
A four-point plus wind mitigation inspection combines Florida's two most common insurance inspections in one visit. The four-point documents the roof, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems for underwriting; the wind mitigation documents verifiable wind-resistant features on the state's Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form (OIR-B1-1802). You receive two separate reports, one for each inspection. Palm View's stand-alone price for the combination is $175.
Two inspections, one visit, two reports
The four-point inspection documents the age, type, condition, and visible deficiencies of the roof, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems so an insurance provider can evaluate eligibility for coverage. The wind mitigation inspection documents the roof covering, roof-deck attachment, roof-to-wall connections, roof shape, secondary water resistance, and protection of exterior openings.
You receive two separate reports — the completed four-point form and the completed wind mitigation form, each with supporting photographs — so you or your agent can submit each one to your insurer.
How the combination is priced
The combination is $175 as a stand-alone visit, which saves $75 compared with booking the two inspections separately ($135 + $115). If you're also getting a residential home inspection, add the forms individually instead: four-point +$45 and wind mitigation +$40. See pricing.
What these inspections don't do
Neither inspection evaluates the overall condition of the home or replaces a comprehensive residential home inspection. Insurance eligibility and any wind-mitigation credit or premium adjustment are determined solely by the insurance company.

Four-Point + Wind FAQs
Do I get one report or two?
Two. You receive a separate four-point report and a separate wind mitigation report, so each can be submitted to your insurer.
Can I add the combination to a home inspection?
With a home inspection, the two forms are added individually — four-point +$45 and wind mitigation +$40 — which costs less than the stand-alone combination.
